An independent postal code finder.

This project is maintained by repository owner iambipinpaul. It helps people choose their administrative location, read the separately labelled municipality and ward postal codes, and copy them. It is not operated by or affiliated with Nepal’s government.

Checked sources, clear coverage

The dataset publishes 753 local-level codes and 6743 ward codes across 7 provinces and 77 districts. Source records are compared with MoFAGA’s administrative identities and government types. Records with unresolved name correspondence remain unchecked and unpublished; the checking method and remaining limitations are listed on the Data Sources page. This is not an independent nationwide ward-completeness audit.

The selected rows were checked against a saved official General Post Office (GPO) postal table. Ward codes are expanded only from each row’s explicit inclusive range, checked against its local-level code and stated ward count, never inferred from a ward count alone. English names are reviewed editorial transliterations, not official English names; the naming reference and its MIT licence are disclosed on the Data Sources page. Original Nepali names and source spellings are preserved.

Read the official source, checking dates and coverage limitations. A retrieval date is not a publication date or a new source check. No government data licence is claimed.

Using the finder

Search runs in your browser. You can also browse location links without JavaScript, read each code and select its digits to copy manually.

For shipping, follow the carrier’s requirements and include your full address. Carriers and checkout forms may accept different formats; never change or shorten a postal code to bypass a form’s validation.

Report a correction

Email report@postalcodenepal.com to report a correction. Include the affected page URL, municipality and ward (if applicable), displayed code, proposed correction and official source link or evidence. Do not include a personal shipping address.
